Looking for swimming lessons for you and your toddler? Our Duckling programme is suitable for little ones ages 2 -5 years. Age range is for guidance only.
The Duckling Awards, with Wave Swim School, are designed for children aged 2 to 5 years. Ideal for those children who have completed the Discovery Ducklings and are now more independent and capable of following instructions.
Duckling classes enable toddlers and young children to grow in water confidence, whilst learning the core skills through fun and games to become independent in the water. Parent or carers take part in the water with their toddlers or young children to provide encouragement and support.
Duckling classes is available exclusively at Seahaven Swim and Fitness Centre in Newhaven and Lewes Leisure Centre.

Within these classes we learn through fun and play to give your child the confidence in the water and begin learning vital safety skills to develop as they grow.

In the classes we will begin introducing holding onto equipment independently and develop essential swimming skills. They will be learning how to achieve skill independent.

For little ones aged 3 years and over.
Within the classes we will start to introduce independence in the water.
The child will increase their swimming distance and have an introduction into different strokes. They will get confident when out of their depth in water and will also learn vital skills to help them in preparation for school, such as listening, turn taking and following simple instructions.
