Newhaven Fort, the iconic Palmerston Fort, heritage site and tourist attraction on the South Coast transferred into the Wave portfolio in May 2015.
Each visit to Newhaven Fort offers something new and exciting – Don’t miss the realistic air-raid recreation in the Blitz Bomb Shelter, take your picture beside the huge on-site guns and enjoy an afternoon tea in the 1940s themed Fort Teas Tea Room.
There’s an ever-changing programme of living history events and activities for children. Visit the website for all the latest details or follow Newhaven Fort on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
Most of the Fort is accessible. However, some of the tunnels and ramparts are not accessible due to the nature of the architecture and building structure. Well-behaved dogs on leads are very welcome.
Newhaven Fort is located on Fort Road in Newhaven and is open daily between 10 am to 5 pm, from February until the beginning of November. Please note, last admission is one hour before closing.
